The Story

Early family influences and studio environments that shaped Yan Neo London’s approach to fashion and construction.

Where It Begins

Yan Neo London was founded in 2011, shaped by a lifelong exposure to fashion, cut, fit, and construction.

Growing up in a Greek family deeply involved in the fashion industry, Yan was surrounded by fabric, pattern cutting, and production from an early age. The studio was part of everyday life, forming a clear understanding of how garments are built — not just how they look.

FOUNDATIONS

Yan trained in tailoring and creative pattern cutting at London College of Fashion, before completing a BA (Hons) in Fashion at Westminster University. This formal training established a strong technical grounding in construction, proportion, and fit — principles that continue to inform the brand.

Her early career included working with designers such as Marcus Lupfer and contributing backstage at London Fashion Week for shows including Antonio Berardi and Julien Macdonald. These experiences reinforced a disciplined approach to design, grounded in structure, process, and technical understanding.

EXPERIENCE

Yan went on to open and run a North London boutique for nearly ten years, working directly with customers on fittings, styling, and wardrobe needs.

Alongside this, Yan undertook buying trips across Paris, Greece, and Madrid, developing a clear understanding of quality, sourcing, and selection from both a design and retail perspective.

Buying trips, fittings, and working directly with clients offered a clear understanding of what women keep, return to, and value long-term.

A SHIFT IN FOCUS

Yan Neo London began as a womenswear brand producing complete collections.

Designing across categories and producing at scale was part of the brand’s earlier years, with Yan Neo London selling across Europe and as far as the United States. This period shaped a strong understanding of production, fit, and scale.

Over time, that breadth gave way to clarity.

Rather than continuing to produce full seasonal ranges, the focus has moved to individual garments — pieces chosen for their character, structure, and presence.

Today, Yan Neo centres on distinctive pieces made in limited quantities. Not mass-produced, not trend-led, and not designed to be routine.

Special not by occasion, but by design.

HOW THE WORK IS MADE

Today, the way Yan Neo London operates reflects this more focused approach.

Rather than producing large seasonal collections, the brand works in small runs and limited quantities. Garments are developed individually, allowing closer attention to cut, construction, and detail.

Existing garments and materials, including select vintage pieces, are carefully selected and reworked, extending their life and avoiding unnecessary production. These are combined with stock and responsibly sourced fabrics chosen for structure, longevity, and suitability.

Much of the process remains UK-based, with specialist partners selected for skill, transparency, and fair working practices.

NOW

Yan Neo London works through a tightly considered body of garments, where focus is placed on cut, construction, and the integrity of each piece rather than seasonal volume. The emphasis is on clothing with presence — designed to stand on its own, outside of trend cycles or routine production.

-Every piece has a second heartbeat.
